A Date With Mr. Romance 2010

BY RT BOOK REVIEWS, FEBRUARY 14, 2011 | PERMALINK

Happy Valentine's Day! We hope everyone will enjoy the day - or at the very least some delicious chocolate. If you are one of the many people who are tired of doing the same old thing on your dates, we've got help for you. For a suggestion of how to celebrate this special day, we went to one of the most romantic guys we know, RT's Mr. Romance 2010, Jamie Ungaro. This Midwestern guy reveals his idea of a great date:

"My perfect date would be going out to a nice restaurant and having a good meal with my wife, go to the local park and walk around. Then go do a little bit of shopping so she's happy, LOL and go home and watch a movie together."

Doesn't that sound divine? It's a date that's low-key and full of romance, just like Mr. Romance 2010 himself. We can't wait to see Jamie again at this year's RT BOOKLOVERS CONVENTION in Los Angeles. Jamie will be on hand to pass the title on to this year's Mr. Romance on Saturday, April 9th.

Claim Your Team and Win ARCs from Jeaniene Frost and Pamela Palmer!

BY RT BOOK REVIEWS, FEBRUARY 11, 2011 | PERMALINK

In the February Issue of RT BOOK REVIEWS magazine we investigated the geometry of love triangles with the article "You, Me and Him". The RT editors shared which hero they are rooting for in several series that feature a heroine who is caught between a hunk and a dream boat. Now two of the Avon authors are getting into the team action with their paranormal series.

"Team Bones" celebrates Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress novels. The latest tale, This Side of the Grave, is a March RT Top Pick! It has Senior Reviewer Jill M. Smith saying, "While this series follows the course of Cat’s evolution and destiny, what makes these books so unforgettable is the sizzling and complex relationship between Cat and Bones."

But maybe you are on "Team Kouga" and can't get enough of Pamela Palmer's Feral Warriors novels! This month sees the release of her new novel, Hunger Untamed. RT Reviewer Lauren Becker praises this series installment for its emotional depth. "Palmer skillfuly shows readers how it isn’t always easy to love your soul mate."

With heroes this hot (and heroines this cool) we won't blame you for being part of both camps!

Author Interview With Kat Martin

BY RT BOOK REVIEWS, FEBRUARY 09, 2011 | PERMALINK

Bestselling author Kat Martin welcomes us into her world of romances in this special author interview. Get an insider look at the making of the contemporary romances in her latest series, her writing process and what we can expect from this fantastic author next!

RT BOOK REVIEWS: The books in your current series, the Against Trilogy, are contemporary romances set in Wyoming. Was it difficult to switch from your last trilogy, a historical romance, into the world of the contemporary West?

Kat Martin: Actually, though all of the Raines brothers were born in Wyoming, only the first book,Against the Wind, is set there. The other two brothers, Gabe and Dev, have moved away, Gabe to Dallas and Dev to Scottsdale, Arizona. The switch from historical to contemporary turned out to be easier than I expected. Over the years, I had written ten contemporaries, two ghost stories, the rest romantic suspense. So I was just going back to the kind of writing I had dabbled in before.
