In Egypt during the early 1900s, Genisse Braxton assumes a secret identity and embarks on a journey to find the lost tomb of Zerzura in the company of American cowboy James Owen. Together, the two face sand storms, heart-racing chases and even Genisse being “sold” to Bedouins. To celebrate this exciting book's January release we are giving away three copies. To enter, simply comment below telling us which unique location you would like Brockway to set her next historical romance, or e-mail your response here with the subject "Connie Brockway Giveaway". I'd like her next book to be set in New Orleans, LA.

It's not unique, but I'd like to see a book set in NYC during the Gilded Age.

I've always been fascinated by the Russian Tsars so it would be great to read about early Russia.

I love stories set in the desert. I just got back from Italy and Venice is a city made for romance.

I'd like to see a book set in Canada or Alaska, there would be lots of cuddling up to keep warm in all that snow. :D
How about Greece or Italy?

I love that Brockway's current novel is set in Egypt --
It would be interesting to read a story set in Greece or Italy -- both countries have very rich (and deep) histories.
China/Asia

I look often, but I can never find any worthwhile historical romances set in Asia. The Orient is just so much different in terms of everything compared to American and European culture, but it seems like no one has thought it would be a good idea to delve into that territory. It's practically unexplored, and I would definitely pick up the next book if it was set in an historical Asia.
Eastern Europe

In college, I studied abroad in Eastern Europe and fell in love with both Prague and Budapest. I would love to read a historical romance set it either city. Both cities are absolutely beautiful and have fascinating histories to accompany them.
Australia or New Zealand

Maybe Australia or New Zealand. I don't remember seeing a lot of historical romances set in either location.

I'm fond of stories set in historical Scotland and Ireland, but for something a little different, Alaska would be pretty adventurous. I'm thinking life wasn't easy back there especially for early settlers so only a strong hero and heroine can rough it out in such a place :)

Unfortunately there were not enough books releasing either this week or next week to have an "On The Shelves" column. However, after Christmas, there are lots and lots of new releases that will we will telling you all about!
