We're off to LA to meet up with our fellow genre fiction fans at the 2011 RT Booklovers Convention. Goodbye rainy New York, sunny L.A. here we come! All week long you can follow the convention action on the RT Daily Blog. You will get insider info from authors attending panels and leading workshops. You can also get our take on this year's annual awards ceremony and check out photos from the morning mixers and nightly parties.
Over the next five days we are looking forward to attending some of the 125 workshops for readers, writers and booksellers and librarians. From hands-on craft workshops to discussions about the industry and spotlights on each of the genres, our upcoming hours will be filled with sessions that promise to be memorable. This year's workshops will be recorded and offered as mp3 audio files by www.ConferenceRecording.com for everyone who can't attend or can't read their handwriting after jotting down notes during the panels. And for everyone who can't make it to the full five-day convention but is interested in coming for some of the events, take a look at the day pass options available.
After spending our days in workshops and at mixers, each night we will be celebrating in style. This year's events include the Bollywood-themed Ellora's Cave Fantasy Party, The Faery Court's evening of dinner and dancing and the Vampire Ball. If you are jonesing to join us as we unwind, you can stop in for an evening with a special event ticket.
Of course, we will get you up-close and personal with the authors at Friday's E-book Expo and Graphic Novel Book Fair. And then you can catch us the next day as we hang out with 300 authors, chat with readers and meet Soap Stars during Saturday's Giant Book Fair. Later that day we will also bring you all the details about the 2011 Mr. Romance Competition and RT's first-ever Teen Day.
Just stay tuned to the RT Daily Blog for our convention highlights. If you're joining us at the 28th annual RT Booklovers Convention in L.A. then be sure to say hi if you see us in the halls. Otherwise, we hope you'll meet us in Chicago in 2012!
