Their website says, “We want teen appropriate stories, even if the stories themselves are not actually YA or NA.” To learn more, visit their site here!
Samhain Publishing - Childhood fears aren’t often easily forgotten and for horror writers, these fears can provide the best fodder for their stories. So if you’ve written a scream-worthy horror novella, Samhain Publishing wants to see it! This open call is open to all authors and is for Samhain’s horror line, not one of their romance lines. Learn more about this creeptastic call here!
Crimson Romance - Crimson Romance is open to both general and short story submissions. For short stories, manuscripts should be between 10,000 to 20,000 words and can be holiday themed or sports themed. If you’re looking to submit a full-length novel, they’re currently looking for stories featuring gender role reversals, superhero romances, performing arts settings and more! To learn more, view their submission guidelines here!
Roane Publishing - Everybody loves a sexy bad boy, including Roane Publishing, who is currently seeking submissions for their Bad Boys Rock erotic romance anthology! The stories should be between 5,000 to 12,000 words, and can fall into the menage, BDSM and LGBT categories. Happy endings are also preferred! Get all the details on this anthology here!
Ellora’s Cave - Cops and firemen sure know how to raise the heat and get our pulses racing! And if you love writing about these sexy uniformed heroes and heroines, then Ellora’s Cave may be your story’s new home! The publisher is gathering submissions for their Guns ‘n Hoses line, which will feature stories at least 18,000 words in length and all Ellora’s Cave genres and subgenres are welcome. Take a look at all the details here!
Lyrical Press - Kensington's Lyrical Press is still open for submissions and Penny Barber, the Content and Acquisition Editor, is on the hunt for new and exciting projects to take under her wing. Instead of the usual wishlist, she's posted a list of things she doesn't want to see in submissions. She's not too fond of abusive relationships taking center stage nor is she a big fan of passive verbs and action. To see her other non-requirements, visit the site here!
