Remembering Author Sue Grafton
It is with heavy hearts that we share that acclaimed mystery author Sue Grafton passed away at the age of 77. The Louisville native battled cancer for two years before succumbing to her illness on Thursday, December 28, 2017.
Sue is best known for her award-winning alphabet mystery series, which kicked off in 1982 with A is for Alibi. Her most recent addition to the series, Y is for Yesterday, was released last summer and earned an RT Top Pick! An announcement on Sue's Facebook page informed readers that this will be the last book in the author's alphabet series.
A memorial service was held for Sue in California on Sunday, but east coast fans may get an opportunity to honor the author in April before the Edgar Awards ceremony.
Sue is survived by her husband Humphrey and her daughter Jamie. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
