DOWN BY CONTACT by Santino Hassell

Down by Contact by Santino Hassell— January 16, 2022

Get ready to hit the field, book two in Santino Hassell's The Barons series arrives on shelves NEXT WEEK and we are SO ready for this rival-mance! Opposing players Simeon and Adrián are suspended for a pre-season fight, and they'll be completing community service together. Forced to overcome their differences in order to coach a youth football team in Brooklyn (Are you swooning? Because we are swooning!), the tension is THICK between these players, making their HEA even more satisfying!

Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout— January 30, 2022

Jennifer Armentrout writes the hottest heroes. THE HOTTEST. Sorry we’re shouting but it’s a really important point to get across. So it goes without saying that we are PRETTY PUMPED to meet the de Vincents, who are, here, we’ll quote from the blurb, “massively wealthy brothers who are haunted by a dark reputation and whispers of misdeeds.” LIKE OUR CATNIP, JLA! The series starter stars youngest brother Lucian, who’s (blurb again) “the wildest, most unpredictable one,” an “unrepentant bachelor.” And we all know what happens to unrepentant bachelors who wind up in contemporary romances, right?!?!

A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole

A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole — February 27, 2022

We are heavy on board with Alyssa Cole’s historicals, as we’ve expressed quite a few times. We are equally pumped by her new contemporary, which sounds like it has the best set up: Grad student and former foster kid Naledi keeps deleting these spam-like emails she’s getting, saying she’ betrothed to an African prince. MEANWHILE, Prince Thabiso, sole heir to the throne of Thesolo, is trying to track down his missing betrothed. When they meet at last, she thinks he’s a pauper. He can’t resist trying a taste of life as a commoner … Is this not the most charming plot? We can’t wait to check this one out — it will probably also help/exacerbate our royal fever.

Marriage of Inconvenience by Penny Reid

Marriage of Inconvenience by Penny Reid — March 6, 2022

We’ve heard so much about Penny Reid’s amazing contemporary romances that we’ve got our calendars marked to check out the final book in her Knitting in the City books. (This may be because we ourselves love to knit in the city!) Fans are super pumped for Kat and Dan’s book — she’s a billionaire heiress who needs to get married ASAP with no romantic strings (man we love this genre), and he’s Dan the security man! What could go wrong? Or … so very right?! This book drops in March so you’ve got time to read the first six books if you’re so inclined.

Hurts to Love You by Alisha Rai

Hurts to Love You by Alisha Rai— March 27, 2022

Are we ready to see the baby of the Chandler/Oka-Kane clan find love? Heck yes we are! When we first met Eve Chandler in Hate to Want You, she was unhappy with her career, but unable to confront her family and defy their expectations. Acknowledging her toxic relationship with her father has helped Eve to build confidence, and now she’s ready to reclaim her life and find happiness. In the course of researching a new business venture, Eve is put in close proximity with former family friend Gabe Hunter and she discovers that her childhood crush has bloomed into full-blown adult lust. Gabe returns these feelings with gusto (seriously, you can cut the sexual tension between these two with a knife, you guys), but one BIG secret makes him believe that a relationship would be impossible. Since a sordid mystery contributed to the split between the Chandlers and Oka-Kanes, YOU KNOW WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT THIS SECRET IS. We’ll be waiting with bated breath till March 2018 …

THE FIRST TIME AT FIRELIGHT FALLS by Julie Anne Long

The First Time at Firelight Falls by Julie Anne Long — May 29, 2022

In Julie Anne Long’s latest stop in Hellcat Canyon we’re getting Eden’s story (her sister found love in 2017’s Seal of Excellence winner Dirty Dancing at Devil’s Leap). The hero is — ready? An ex-Navy SEAL school principal. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH. Long is so talented at conflict our hearts ache as we root her characters onto their HEA, and we’re pretty sure we'll be ready for the angst this summer.
