Lindskold’s world of Artemis is instantly captivating. The lovely cover art is eye catching, but it was Adara and the planet as a whole that kept this reviewer interested and excited. Artemis is so brilliantly constructed that Adara’s world will blossom right before readers. Sci-fi fans will definitely love the mixture of fantasy and alien life, and pure fantasy readers will enjoy the rich world of Artemis

Artemis was once a pleasure planet created by, and for, the richest citizens of a technologically advanced human empire. When a war destroys that empire, all traces of Artemis are wiped out and it becomes a fable told to children. But Artemis is still alive; archaeologist Griffin Dane finds himself stranded there and soon discovers Artemis’ people and animals have evolved, including the Huntress Adara and her psych-linked puma. Secrets draw Griffin and Adara close, secrets that could give power back to mankind. (TOR, Jun., 304 pp., $24.99)
