Image of To Seduce a Stranger

The third book in Craig’s Runaway Desires series might be the weakest link with some slow pacing in spots, but it’s still an overall enjoyable read. Fans of the first two books will want to pick this one up as Craig does a wonderful job again with the character development. The descriptions of the scenery are vivid and palpable, and the romance is sweet as well. Craig is really making a name for herself as a rising historical author!

After her older husband passes away, Charlotte Blakemore becomes fearful that her stepson is going to try and ruin her life after the contents of her late husband’s will is read. When she attempts to run away, her plans go awry and she finds herself stranded. Enter Edward Cary, who comes to her rescue — Never one to turn away a damsel in distress, Edward takes Charlotte with him to a Gloucestershire estate where he’s been hired to restore things. While there Edward and Charlotte pretend they are married so that she can stay out of harm’s way. Edward knows that Charlotte is keeping secrets, but then again … so is he.
