The return to Naples, Florida, is hardly smooth, but life is never boring for Claire and Nick! The fourth South Shores novel, Shallow Grave involves long-buried mysteries in the back country of Florida, and the fast pacing will keep readers guessing. With danger coming in from all directions, it's delightful to see Claire and Nick band together as lovers and as partners.

Forensic psychologist Claire Britten has had enough of violence. With her partner, criminal lawyer Nick Markwood, they start working with a small animal sanctuary to help socialize local children. Things turn deadly when the newest addition to the park, a Siberian tiger, appears to have killed the sanctuary owner. Claire suspects something else is going on, and they get the South Shores detective team on the case. Meanwhile, Claire and Nick are being terrorized at home with animal carcasses left on their property, and they'll have to work together to ensure the life they're building stays safe.
