Pineiro writes a story about a love between two individuals that will not fade. The backdrop and group of secondary characters makes this a feel-good book with lots of emotions. The beginning of the book is quick and jumps ahead in time too quickly for readers to get a full understanding of what the main characters are going through. The rest of the book is paced well, and readers will enjoy this summer-themed romance.

One long ago summer, college kids Connie Reyes and Jonathan Pierce had a romance that they thought would continue, but career-minded Connie ends it when she realizes that Jonathan has no intention of finishing college and plans to float through life doing odd jobs. Over the years the two see each other occasionally and wonder what might have been. At a wedding the two are thrust together and they must confront the feelings they have for each other. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they share a night of passion that is hard to forget. Jonathan knows he has feelings for Connie, but he must convince her to give their relationship another shot. Connie must decide if she is prepared for what these feelings may lead to, or if Jonathan will get up and leave again. (SOURCEBOOKS, Jun., 320 pp., $7.99)
