Black Knights fans, rejoice! After much anticipation, we finally get Ozzie's story, and it's well worth the wait. The sexy, geeky ex-Navy SEAL is just as charming as we remember, but this time we get to see his vulnerable side, brought out by a savvy reporter who gives him a run for his money. Readers will enjoy Walker's signature no-holds-barred bad guys as well as the camaraderie between BKI members. Though Wild Ride can be read as a stand-alone, readers who are new to the series are better off starting from book one.
As a reporter, it's Samantha Tate's job to ask questions. As a secretive operative, it's Ethan "Ozzie" Sykes' job to avoid them. But when an attempt is made on Samantha's life, Ozzie has no choice but to keep her by his side until they can nail the guys after her. That means bringing her to Black Knights headquarters … and keeping her from nosing around. The closer the pair get, the more Ozzie is tempted to reveal his feelings for Samantha. But can he do that while also keeping his cover and the secret of the Black Knights? (SOURCEBOOKS, Apr., 384 pp., $7.99)
